learning on the job

While we had experience in the construction industry, it was mostly commercial and large scale projects. Plus, because none of us are millionaires, we had to start small.. so we thought what better way than to learn than on the job using Melanie's first house, aka project:A.

We've used project:A as our kick-starter project for the company, taking a little longer and trying things ourselves carefully along the way. We're using it to test everything from budgeting systems to slightly unconventional products and suitability techniques.

Being our own clients has given us the opportunity to be a little more hands on, learning new skills from those with trades and getting a better understanding of each trade and the work involved. It's always so much more than we think! We are hoping to successfully turn it into a great home for someone, with some profit along the way that can seed our next project.
